FAQ
How much does a photoshoot cost?
My rates are typically around $100/hour of on-site time, although I do offer a sliding scale for smaller organizations. This may increase if there is significant travel time or other complexities for a given shoot, but all prices will be finalized before both of us agree to a contract, so please reach out!

Do you take Professional Headshots?
Yes! I expect them to take roughly half an hour to complete, depending on the location and how much equipment I will need to bring.
Can you recommend any good locations?
Yes! I am very familiar with good photo spots in the Boston area, and I also have access to a professional studio space for a small fee.
Do you have access to a drone?
I do not currently have a commercial drone license, but I am working on this. All aerial photographs currently on this site were taken while I was a passenger in a fixed-wing aircraft.

What sort of things do you like to take pictures of, exactly?
I like to think of myself as a jack-of-all trades when it comes to photography. I started out photographing toys, then almost immediately started taking a lot of landscape photos as a passenger in moving vehicles. A couple of years later I realized that most of my best photos were taken at freezing temperatures, in rainforests, or in deserts. I am no stranger to tough or unusual conditions that push me and my equipment to the limit.
Past projects have included photographing small weddings, supporting science outreach organizations, photographing town events and documenting many of my own creative projects.
Can you photograph ____?
Generally if I am physically and legally capable of photographing something, I'll give it a try. If the project is really outside of my usual scope, I may offer to do it for a 50% off discount since I can't guarantee it will work, but I will definitely be excited to try something new.
